Jump Starting Our Spring
With 10 days of February running under our belts, we’re off to a fast start on spring work. It’s a rare opportunity to apply that early, and I hope it lightens the load for everyone this spring. We’ve also continued the expansion of our application fleet to stay ahead of demand when things pick up in the next couple of months.
The big news for spring, of course, is the approval of the herbicide system for dicamba-tolerant soybeans. As the label has evolved, we’ve continued to update all of you with the latest information. We believe the evolution will ultimately be for the good but, unfortunately, a lot of misinformation about this system exists at this time. Our agronomy staff is on top of the situation, so please check with them if you plan to use the system this spring.
We’re busy treating seed and delivering corn, as it’s really beginning to feel like spring. Our only real concern at this point is the very dry conditions that exist in parts of our trade area. We hope it’s not a sign of things to come.
We look forward to working with you through another production season.
